Example 1: Finnish language discussion group
Summary:
In this group, you can practice Finnish with native Finnish-speaking volunteers in a relaxed and encouraging environment. You are welcome to join whether you know just a little Finnish or are already fluent in Finnish.
Description of the activity:
Come and learn Finnish! In this group, we practice Finnish by speaking together with native Finnish-speaking volunteers and other learners. The focus is on language skills needed in everyday life.
You are welcome to join whether you know just a little Finnish or are already fluent in Finnish. Learners are divided into smaller groups based on their Finnish language skills. You can join even if you cannot read or write.
There is no need to register in advance, and you can join the group even in the middle of the semester. You can also bring your small children with you. We will arrange activities for the children as needed.
The group does not meet during the autumn break on October 13th.
We practice in a relaxed, encouraging, and fun atmosphere. You are warmly welcome to join us!

Example 2: Networking and peer support group for women
Summary:
An open group for all women, regardless of background. Join our group to make friends, learn new things, and network with other women.
Description of the activity:
Welcome to our women's group!
We meet once a week to discuss various topics. We plan the activities together based on the interests of the group members. Members also have the opportunity to lead and coordinate activities themselves.
We can discuss topics like interesting mobile apps and YouTube channels that support language learning, or fun activities and events in the local area. Additionally, we can teach each other new skills; for example, someone might teach knitting while another person might explain how to use AI in job searching. We also invite experts to speak to our group and go on field trips. Sometimes, we have picnics or parties.
It is important to us that everyone feels welcome in the group.
